Turning the odds in your favor

RBU

LSS, the Law on Support and Service for Disabled People, was a revolution when it came. Now people could start living their lives just like others, with or without disabilities. Even so children. Not least, personal assistance has meant an incredible amount for children, young people and adults' opportunities for independence. Unfortunately, in recent years we have been forced to see how freedom reform has been eroded more and more. Rights are being questioned and judgments hit hard on children and families. RBU doesn't accept this kind of behaviour. And have therefore taken the fight for each childs right to personal assistance.

74 000 People depend on the Law of Support and Service for disabled people, also called the LSS. Since no help means no spare time for the parents, we decided to demonstrate the problem with this situatation by inviting these parents to record their stories and share them with the world. Except that nothing would be recorded since no parent would be able to come after being denied assistance. Leaving us with a podcast of 10 recordings of nothing – which is exactly what the law gives to these families.

The podcast "The sound of law 1993:387" was advertised on social media and customized invitations with encouraging messages to do something about the situation was sent to people with political influence. Putting RBU and LSS on the media headlines.
