The Covid-19 pandemic hit the swedish event industry hard. Something that got SES (The event-sector association) to cancel the event industry's great gala, Gyllene Hjulet. A decision the two creatives Rasmus Thuritz (myself) and Johan Lundin considered to give bad signals about the event industry's ability to think innovatively.

By sharing our opinion with the media, SES's decision received a lot of attention. They eventually reached out to us with a request to arrange a digital meeting that would gather all the people working in the event industry to discuss the pandemic situation. Together we launched the concept "SES på distance", a live digital debate about the event industry and its handling of Covid-19. Reaching and affecting a whole sector.
